Day-by-Day Itinerary: 4-Day Kruger National Park Luxury Safari

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Your Kruger National Park luxury safari begins with the 07:00 shuttle departure from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, arriving at your exquisite Radisson Safari Hotel in Hoedspruit by early afternoon. Check in at 14:00 following a welcome lunch at 12:30, then prepare for your first immersive bush experience.

At 15:00, embark on a thrilling 3-hour sunset game drive through the magnificent Blue Canyon Conservancy — a pristine 38,000-hectare African bushveld sanctuary sheltering some of the continent’s most iconic and rare wildlife, including rhino, elephant, lion, cheetah, and leopard. As the African sun dips toward the horizon, pause for sundowners and snacks in the bush — one of the most quintessentially magical safari experiences available — before returning to the hotel for dinner at 18:30.

Main Destination: Kruger National Park, South Africa

Accommodation: Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit — an exquisite luxury hotel situated in Hoedspruit, offering world-class comfort and seamless access to the greater Kruger safari ecosystem.

Day 2: Kruger National Park

Rise before dawn for an unforgettable full day safari in the world-famous Kruger National Park, departing at 05:00 to make the most of the early morning hours when wildlife is at its most active. Spend the day immersed in the rich and breathtaking Kruger bushveld, tracking the iconic Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — alongside an extraordinary diversity of plains game, predators, and birdlife that makes Kruger one of the greatest wildlife destinations on Earth.

Bottled water is provided throughout the day’s game drive. Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxed dinner and a well-deserved rest after an exhilarating day in the African bush.

Spend a full day exploring the Panorama Route’s most iconic landmarks — stand in awe at the magnificent Blyde River Canyon — one of the largest canyons on Earth and arguably South Africa’s most dramatic natural vista — marvel at the extraordinary geological formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and take in the sweeping, seemingly endless views from the legendary God’s Window viewpoint. The route also winds through charming local towns and a series of stunning scenic viewpoints and waterfalls that make every kilometer of the journey a visual delight.
