Before You Book
What Is a Joining Safari?
A joining safari is a scheduled safari where individual travellers, couples or small groups travel together in the same safari vehicle. Instead of paying for a private vehicle, you share the safari vehicle and guide with other travellers who are booked on the same departure. This makes the safari more affordable while still giving you the experience of travelling through Tanzania's national parks with a professional local team. Our joining safaris are designed to feel personal and relaxed — we do not operate large coach-style safari groups.
Who Are Our Joining Safaris For?
Solo Travellers
Travelling alone? Joining a safari is an easy way to explore Tanzania without paying the full cost of a private vehicle.
Couples
A joining safari can be a good option for couples who want to keep the cost lower while meeting other travellers.
Friends
Travelling with friends? Join one of our scheduled departures or ask us about arranging a private safari for your group.
First-Time Visitors to Tanzania
If this is your first safari in Tanzania, our team will help you understand what to expect before you arrive.
Sharing a Room
Joining safari prices are normally based on sharing accommodation in a twin or double room. If you are travelling alone, we will normally pair you with another traveller of the same gender where possible.
If you prefer your own room, a single supplement can be added depending on the accommodation and safari. Please tell us your preference when requesting availability.
