Kenya Safari Tours — Wildlife, Wilderness & the Masai Mara

Kenya is one of Africa’s great safari destinations — and when combined with neighbouring Tanzania, it forms part of one of the most extraordinary wildlife corridors on earth. From the rolling savanna of the Masai Mara to the elephant-dominated plains of Amboseli, the camel country of Samburu, and the flamingo-filled shores of Lake Nakuru, Kenya delivers safari experiences of extraordinary variety and quality.

Nyange Adventures operates Kenya safari itineraries as standalone journeys and as part of combined Tanzania-Kenya safari programmes — bringing the same expert guiding, meticulous planning, and personalised service that has made us Tanzania’s #1 rated operator on TripAdvisor.

Kenya's Premier Safari Destinations

Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya’s finest and most famous wildlife destination. The northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti ecosystem, the Masai Mara is where the Great Wildebeest Migration crosses into Kenya between July and October — an event of staggering scale and drama. Year-round, the Mara supports extraordinary lion populations, large elephant herds, and some of Africa’s finest cheetah viewing. Stay in a luxury tented camp in the Mara Triangle or one of the private conservancies bordering the reserve for the most exclusive experience.

Amboseli National Park is framed by the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro rising across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli’s landscapes are among the most photographically compelling in Africa. The park is famous for large, relaxed herds of elephant — some of the most studied and photographed elephants in the world — and for the extraordinary backdrop they provide against Africa’s highest peak.

Samburu National Reserve North of the equator and a world apart from the southern savanna, Samburu is Kenya’s most distinctive safari destination. Here you will find species found nowhere else in the region: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Wild dog, cheetah, leopard, and lion are also present. An extraordinary addition for any traveller seeking something genuinely different.

Lake Nakuru National Park Famous for vast flamingo flocks that historically turned the lake pink from the air, Lake Nakuru is also a critical sanctuary for both black and white rhinoceros — making it one of Kenya’s finest Big Five destinations. Rothschild’s giraffe, lion, leopard, and large waterbuck herds add to an impressive species list.

Hell’s Gate National Park unique in Kenya for allowing cycling and walking without an armed ranger, Hell’s Gate’s dramatic volcanic landscape provides a different kind of safari experience. The gorges, geothermal activity, and abundant wildlife make it a popular destination for families and active travelers.

Combined Tanzania & Kenya Safaris

The most popular way to experience Kenya with Nyange Adventures is as part of a combined Tanzania-Kenya journey. The Serengeti and the Masai Mara together form the greatest wildlife ecosystem on earth — and experiencing both in a single safari provides a depth of wildlife immersion that neither park can fully deliver alone.

Our combined itineraries typically cover:

  • Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)
  • Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Tanzania)
  • Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)
  • Optional: Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, or Samburu (Kenya)

Travel between Tanzania and Kenya can be arranged by road (the Namanga border crossing) or by light aircraft, depending on your itinerary and preferences.
