This short evening cruise is the easiest way to end a day in Zanzibar: a couple of relaxed hours aboard a traditional wooden dhow, sailing along the coast as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. There's no itinerary to follow and nothing strenuous involved — just the boat, the light, and a drink in hand, with hotel pickup and drop-off included so you can enjoy it without arranging a thing.

There's little structure to this cruise by design — it's built around simply being on the water at the right time of day.
Your driver collects you from your hotel in the late afternoon, timed so you arrive at the jetty with enough daylight left to settle in before sunset. Once aboard the dhow, the crew handles the sailing while you relax on deck with a soft drink and a light snack, watching the coastline and the changing light as the boat moves slowly along the shore.
There's no fixed route or list of stops — the crew simply sails to make the most of the light, aiming to have you on the water as the sun drops toward the horizon. Once it's set and the light has faded, the dhow heads back to the jetty, where your driver is waiting to take you back to your hotel.
