Nyange Adventures

5-Day Tanzania Luxury Safari All-Inclusive

Trip Overview

This 5-day luxury safari takes you through the highlights of Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, offering an unforgettable journey across diverse landscapes and rich wildlife habitats. You will experience incredible game viewing, from cheetahs on the open plains and lions resting in trees, to monkeys in lush forests and elephants roaming among acacia woodlands.

The adventure also includes a visit to the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife, where you can spot a wide variety of animals in a unique natural setting. A highlight of the safari is Serengeti National Park, home to over three million animals. Its vast grasslands provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to see predators such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions in their natural environment.

This safari offers a perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and exceptional wildlife experiences.

Day-by-Day Itinerary: 5-Day Luxury Safari All-Inclusive

Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), our representative will be on hand to welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. You’ll spend the night at the Gran Melia, a stunning property nestled at the base of Mount Meru in the heart of Arusha city.

Accommodation: Gran Melia

Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the main water source for wildlife during the dry season. The landscape features dense vegetation, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forest.

Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest, followed closely by predators such as lions and leopards. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, with one of the highest numbers of breeding bird species in the world.

After lunch and an extensive game drive, we continue to Kitela Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Travel Time: Approx. 2–3 hours
Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, we depart for Ngorongoro Crater. Often described as a hidden world, the crater offers a unique wildlife experience within its natural enclosure. You may have the chance to spot the endangered black rhino, as well as large prides of lions.

Formed over two to three million years ago when a massive volcano collapsed, the crater is now home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. The descent into the crater is an adventure on its own, and once on the crater floor, you will find yourself surrounded by wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an incredible variety of birdlife, with over 500 species recorded.

After a packed lunch, we continue our journey to Serengeti National Park, enjoying game viewing along the way. In the evening, we arrive at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Travel Time: Approx. 4–6 hours (including game drive and transfer)
Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater / Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Karatu

After an early breakfast, we set off at around 6:30 am for a full morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. You will spend approximately 6–7 hours exploring this remarkable park, which is home to a wide variety of wildlife including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos.

The Serengeti is especially famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, featuring vast herds of zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season, you may also witness predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs in action across the open savannah.

In the early afternoon, we begin our drive back to Karatu, arriving at Kitela Lodge. Here you can relax, enjoy the swimming pool, and unwind by the fire under the African sky before dinner and an overnight stay.

Travel Time: Approx. 4–5 hours (game drive + transfer to Karatu)
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After an early breakfast at the lodge, we take a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Located about 120 km west of Arusha, this small but diverse park is named after the shallow salt lake that covers much of its area.

The lake is seasonally flooded and is home to thousands of flamingos as well as over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatching. During your game drive, you may also encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the famous tree-climbing lions.

The park features a variety of landscapes, from open grassy plains to dense woodlands filled with primates and dramatic baobab-covered cliffs.

After a packed lunch, we return to Arusha, arriving in time for your onward flight home or a connecting flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your safari adventure.

Travel Time: Approx. 1–2 hours (Arusha ↔ Lake Manyara) + return to Arusha
Main Destination: Lake Manyara National Park
Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour)
Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
