Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, beginning your safari adventure in one of Tanzania’s most underrated yet wildlife-rich destinations.

Tarangire National Park is named after the life-giving Tarangire River, often referred to as the “river of warthogs.” During the dry season, this river becomes the primary water source for wildlife in the area, attracting large concentrations of animals. The park’s landscape is beautifully diverse, featuring dense vegetation, towering baobab trees, elephant grass, and acacia woodlands.

The park is especially famous for its large herds of elephants, which are frequently seen gathering along the riverbanks. During your game drive, you may also encounter giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and a variety of other plains animals. These herbivores are closely followed by predators such as lions and leopards, offering exciting wildlife viewing opportunities. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird lovers, boasting more breeding bird species than almost anywhere else on the continent.

After a picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, you will head to your luxury lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge, located just outside the park in a scenic setting.

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park

Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Burunge to Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic and diverse wildlife destination nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Manyara National Park is an unspoiled paradise, best known for its abundant birdlife and its famous tree-climbing lions. The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms a striking backdrop to the park, while to the east lies the shallow alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake expands and recedes with the seasons, attracting thousands of flamingos and other water birds during the rainy months.

The name “Manyara” comes from the Maasai word “emanyara,” a plant traditionally used to build protective enclosures, or bomas, around homesteads. The park’s vegetation is remarkably varied, ranging from open savannah to lush evergreen forest, supporting a wide range of wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, elephants, and buffalo, and if you are fortunate, you might spot lions resting in the trees.

After enjoying a picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, you will head to your luxury lodge in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Kitela Lodge, set in a scenic environment near the park.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a caldera that is approximately 600 meters deep, offering one of the most unique safari experiences in Africa.

The crater was formed over two to three million years ago when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. Today, it stands as both a geological marvel and a sanctuary, home to one of the highest densities of large mammals on the continent. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, with stunning views at every turn.

Once on the crater floor, you will find yourself surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 species of birds. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered Black Rhinoceros, often seen grazing in the open plains.

After enjoying a picnic lunch and an extensive game drive within the crater, you will ascend to the rim and head to your luxury accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp, offering spectacular views over this iconic landscape.

Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, enjoying a scenic drive as you enter one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world.

The Serengeti is truly spectacular, renowned for its vast open grasslands that provide exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing. As Tanzania’s oldest national park and one of the oldest ecosystems, its climate and vegetation have remained largely unchanged for millions of years, creating a timeless safari setting.

The park is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife, but it is perhaps most famous for the annual Great Migration. During this remarkable природный phenomenon, vast herds of wildebeests, accompanied by large numbers of zebras and antelopes—move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. The exact timing of this movement depends on seasonal rainfall patterns, making each experience unique.

After enjoying a picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, you will head to your luxury tented accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, located in the heart of Central Serengeti.

You will spend the next two nights immersed in this extraordinary wilderness, surrounded by unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Upon arrival, you will pass through the historic Stone Town before continuing your journey to the northern coast of the island, heading to the beaches of Nungwi.

Nungwi is renowned for its dazzling white coral, which seems to glow even after sunset. Despite its popularity, the area still offers a sense of seclusion and tranquility. Its wide is perfect for swimming and snorkeling in some of Africa’s most pristine, reef-rich waters. Unlike many other beaches in Zanzibar, Nungwi experiences minimal tidal fluctuations, allowing for enjoyable water activities throughout the day.

A variety of activities are available, including guided walks, sunset dhow cruises, diving excursions, and parasailing. However, sometimes the most magical experience is simply watching traditional dhow boats gently drifting across the horizon at sunset.
