Your journey begins with a morning departure from Cape Town, heading inland along the famous Route 62, known for its dramatic mountain scenery, vineyards, and charming small towns.

Along the way, your guide will make scenic stops for photos and refreshments. By afternoon, you arrive in Oudtshoorn, the “Ostrich Capital of the World,” located in the semi-arid Klein Karoo region.

• Shopping for local crafts and souvenirs

This slower-paced day allows you to fully appreciate the beauty of the Garden Route without rushing.

After breakfast, you continue eastward through more Garden Route highlights, passing Wilderness National Park, known for its rivers, beaches, and birdlife.

The journey leads to the Albertinia or nearby rural coastal area, offering a peaceful overnight stop surrounded by nature.

Today you head west along South Africa’s famous Whale Coast, arriving in Hermanus, globally recognized as one of the best land-based whale-watching destinations.

During whale season (June–November), southern right whales can often be seen directly from the cliffs.

• Whale spotting from lookout points
• Optional boat-based whale-watching tour (seasonal & weather-dependent)

Hermanus also offers art galleries, cafés, and scenic viewpoints.
