Nicknamed “West Serengeti,” Katavi  is Tanzania’s third-largest park, spanning over 4,400 square kilometers in the western part of the country. Spot a diverse range of wildlife here, including lions, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, and even migratory birds depending on the season.

Nicknamed “Chimp Heaven,” Gombe is Tanzania’s smallest park, spanning just 35 square kilometers. Located on the shore of Lake Tanganyika in the western part of the country, Gombe offers a diverse variety of primates and is amongst few places in the world where you can spot chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Depending on accommodation availability, your Tanzanian adventure commences in either Arusha or Moshi town. A friendly Team Nyange driver will warmly welcome you upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and ensure a smooth transfer to your pre-arranged accommodation. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh Tanzanian air and settle in for the exciting journey ahead.

Travel to Katavi National Park, famous for It’s renowned for its vast plains, dense woodlands, and seasonal floodplains, which support a diverse range of animals such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, lions, and various antelope species along with impressive bird species.

Dedicating two full day to  Katavi allows for an in-depth exploration. Witness a diverse range animals such as elephants,hippos,crocodiles buffaloes,lions and explore the migratory birds patterns (depending on the season) . Two days in Katavi  brings new discoveries and once in lifetime experience.

Enjoy morning game drive to maximize your chances of encountering a variety of wildlife before the midday heat sets in. we’ll then set off on a scenic journey towards Kigoma town via Katavi airstrip  followed by a boat ride along the shore of lake Tanganyika to reach Gombe National park ,where you’ll spend the night.

Enjoy a full day of trekking at Gombe, experiencing guided nature walks along the park’s  with different valleys, encounter chimpanzee in their natural habitat, explore Kakombe Waterfalls, and  Climb up Jane’s Peak for stunning views of the Gombe National Park.

In the morning ,you have another opportunity to explore the jungle of Gombe. In addition to the chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and tiara monkeys can also be found here. After this exciting chimpanzee encounter, head to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure, taking home a once in a lifetime memory of your Tanzanian chimpanzee trekking.
