Visit Uganda for an exciting 5-day trip from Entebbe. You’ll go to two big forests: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park.

In Bwindi, you’ll see mountain gorillas up close. This is very special because not many places let you do this. The forest is thick and full of different animals.

At Mgahinga, you’ll watch golden monkeys. These monkeys have bright orange fur and are fun to see. They jump and play in the trees.

On this trip, you can see gorillas in their home and watch golden monkeys. You’ll also walk in the forest to find other animals and birds. There’s time to visit local villages and learn how people live near the parks. At night, you’ll stay in nice forest lodges.

You’ll have busy days seeing rare animals. In the evenings, you can rest in the quiet forest. This trip lets you see two special types of monkeys and enjoy Uganda’s beautiful nature.

At the end, you can choose when to fly back to Entebbe. It’s a great way to see amazing wildlife and learn about Uganda.

Close gorilla encounter

You’ll trek through the forest to spend time near wild mountain gorillas. Watch them eat, play, and interact in their natural home. It’s a rare chance to see these amazing animals up close.

Beautiful forest scenery

Bwindi offers stunning views of lush rainforest. You’ll see tall trees, maybe spot colorful birds or other monkeys, and enjoy the misty, green landscape. It’s very different from open safari parks.

Challenging jungle trek

 Expect a 2-6 hour hike through thick forest to find the gorillas. The paths can be steep and muddy, but guides will help you. The exciting gorilla sighting makes the tough walk worthwhile.

Golden Monkey Encounter

Mgahinga National Park awaits with its playful golden monkeys, known for their bright orange fur. Get a glimpse into their daily lives as you track them through the forest.

Mgahinga National Park in Uganda offers a unique wildlife experience, particularly renowned for its population of endangered mountain gorillas. Although starting and ending in Kigali, Rwanda, this journey includes crossing into Uganda for the main gorilla trekking adventure. This route is favored for its convenient air access to Kigali and proximity to the habitats of these majestic primates.

Itinerary

Land at Entebbe Airport. Our guide meets you and takes you to your hotel. You can rest or choose a fun activity. Options include visiting a chimp sanctuary, watching birds, or taking a boat ride on Lake Victoria. Sleep at your hotel in Entebbe.

Eat breakfast early. Fly to Kisoro, which takes about an hour. Visit a coffee farm to learn how coffee is grown. Eat lunch at a place with nice views. In the afternoon, visit a health center, school, and local community. Learn about life in this area. Sleep at a lodge near the forest.

 

Wake up early for breakfast. Go to the park office for a talk about gorillas. Walk in the forest with guides to find gorillas. This can take a few hours. When you find them, watch the gorillas for one hour. It’s an amazing experience. Go back to your lodge for dinner and sleep.

Drive to Mgahinga National Park. Walk in the forest to see golden monkeys. These are special monkeys with bright orange fur. After seeing the monkeys, visit a local Batwa community. Learn about their way of life. Return to your lodge for the night.

Choose a morning or afternoon flight back to Entebbe. Your guide will take you to the small airport. Fly back to Entebbe, where you can catch your flight home.
