Trip Overview

This 2-day safari is a perfect weekend getaway, offering the chance to see many wild animals and enjoy the unique landscapes of Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.

On Day 1, you’ll explore Tarangire National Park, known for its elephants and ancient baobabs. Spend the day on game drives and camp under the stars at night.

On Day 2, descend into Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife paradise. This massive, collapsed volcano forms a natural haven for an extraordinary variety of animals. Enjoy close encounters with colorful birds, splashing hippos, and more in this unique landscape.

Itinerary

Day 1: Moshi to Tarangire National Park

In the morning, your safari guide will pick you up at your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. This park is most famous for its large number of elephants and giraffes. Most safari animals are present here except for rhinoceros.
The unusual looking giant baobab treees and huge termite mounds dot the landscape. giving this park an unique look. The scenic Tarangire River winds its way through the park and especailly during dry times many animals gather along the river bank.
Game viewing will be paused for a picnic style lunch inside of the park. Late in the afternoon we will exit the park and go to the overnight campground/lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, we drive west entering Ngorongoro Conservation Area and to Ngorongoro Crater.
After regestering at the gate we desend 600m (2,000ft) down the wilding road into one of the top safari destinations in the world.
Ngorongoro Crater is known for its high density of large mammals and large variety. The beauty of the steep crater walls are also not to be overlooked and makes for a wonderful photographic background.
This is one of the few places where all of the “Big Five” – elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinoceros might be spotted in one game drive. The only missing African plains safari animals are giraffes and oryx inside of the crater.
A picnic style lunch will be served as a designated area near a small lake frequented by hippos. The crater is not large, just 20km in diameter, so in half day, all can be seen. At that time, we ascend out of the crater and start our journey back to Moshi Town.

  Terriffic Tanzania
We had the most amazing, interesting and memorable adventure in Tanzania. We had a 12-days adventure meeting tripes, local people in the villages, safari tours, waterfalls and farms. We had Francis Boniphase as our guide during the entire trip. He is very friendly and is curious to learn and give his knowledge to us.   Made it with Nyange!
My son and I just reached the summit on the 8 day Lemosho climb with the fabulous crew of Nyange. Special shout out to our guide Amnaay and the assistant guide Henry, without whom we would not have succeeded. On summit day, they carried our day packs, kept us at a steady pace (believe me, that is a good thing), when at several points I was ready to give up. We were one of the first ones to get there just in time to watch to most glorious sunrise. Then, they pretty much held on to us on the rapid and harrowing decent. I found Nyange hightly recommened in Stedman's book. It is a small local outfit that supports KPAP. The owner, who was once a porter, even came to say hi to us during our last day in Moshi. There are lots of operators, a couple of them had huge groups of trekkers, and I am sure they all do a fine job, but I chose to go with a local company and I am so glad I did. And, don't let anyone tell you Kilimanjaro is easy. It was very, very hard!

  5 Day Tented Lodge Safari - 10/10 Experience
Heinrich arranged our trip and it was everything and more than expected. A once in a lifetime experience made better by Nyange. We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday and they made it so special. They curated a special trip specifically for us, which made it extra special. Could not recommend more. We will be coming back to speak with them when we climb Mt Kilimanjaro! Heinrich provided 10/10 service from the day we spoke to the day we left. Our tour guide Toha was so knowledgeable and made the Safari a great experience.   The trip of a lifetime with Nyange Adventures
I cannot recommend Nyange Adventures enough. From the first email to the final descent off the mountain, Nyange Adventures took thoughtful care in ensuring our experience was flawless and fun. Nyange Adventures provided timely and detailed responses to every one of our group’s dozens of emails. They made to sure give us a thorough briefing before we left for the climb, they did a gear check to make sure we were prepared and gave us meaningful pep talks before and during the hike when they felt the group’s nerves running on high. They were extremely responsive when unexpected issues arose and made sure each of us was comfortable and taken care of through medical emergencies, concerns with sleeping arrangements, food allergies and the like. The care the team provided let our group fully immerse ourselves in the experience and be present in every moment. Nyange Adventures was so prepared as a company and prepared us so well that I felt confident from day one we would all successfully summit in good spirits. Oh and the food was delicious, too. They always provided more than enough of the tastiest food and I ate better than I do at home. Shoutout to our crew: Antipas, Mo, Baboon, Navia and Living for an indescribable and making us feel like we have a second family in Tanzania.   Best safari guides on the savanna!
Nyange Adventures provided an excellent safari experience. I saw so many more animals than I expected! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to truly love the game drives.   Amazing time on this safari adventure
We went for a 5 day safari which exceeded our expectations. We saw so many animals, made new friends and enjoyed incredible hospitality. Our guide Joshua was incredibly knowledgable, super pleasant to be with and generous with his time and information. He taught us so much about the wildlife and the country. He answered all our many questions. He is also an expert driver. Our accommodations were luxurious. I personally love the infinity pools that look over the Serengeti and the private outdoor showers.
